Gaming Media Room, Cobham

A long-serving client of ours asked us to upgrade their existing cinema room so that they could create a space perfect for console gaming and watching movies. The room is in the basement of a large residential home on a private estate in Cobham, Surrey.

 We removed the existing furnishings from the initial build from the property developer and sourced all the new furniture directly. We reconstructed the front wall to install a large 97” OLED television and hid the front speakers and subwoofers behind a fabric-stretched wall. We also covered the rear wall in fabric for symmetrical and technical reasons.

 As our client is an avid gamer, the refresh rate of 120Hz on his gaming console was a prerequisite and therefore, we supplied all cabling and equipment to pass this speed from source to display.

 We maintain this room as part of a broader maintenance agreement for the whole home. We coordinated the electrical rewiring, room decoration and fabric stretching specialists using our trusted suppliers and rebuilt the AV rack. The client is now delighted with the movie and gaming experience on the largest television panel capable of handling 120 fps.
